Measurement can seem elusive to event professionals. While concerned about sustainability, we are incredibly busy with the details of planning and executing meetings and events. However, we realize that ‘what gets measured gets managed’ and that better management can help us reduce costs and better understand our resource utilization... yet, how do we effectively accomplish this in today’s pressure cooker of competing urgent priorities and demands on our time?
Join us to learn strategies and tips from different perspectives on measurement for event sustainability, including what to measure and how to do it without it monopolizing your time. Hugo Kimber, Founder of The Carbon Consultancy, will provide a quick and helpful foundation with a little theory around measurement as well as important insight gained through the development of the Sustainable Event Measurement Tool. From a venue’s perspective, Lindsay Arell will share how she established the Colorado Convention Center’s sustainability practices that have led the venue and Lindsay to be recognized as leaders in the industry.
Come with your questions and find solutions, learning from those who have successfully discovered ways to incorporate sustainable event measurement into their daily work.
Key Learning Objectives include:
- Achieving effective event and corporate impact measurement from early stage to state of the art. It’s a journey not a quick fix.
- Learn how to use metrics to set goals, create accountability, track efforts, and achieve your sustainability objectives.
