Did you know that Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a Gold Member of the Colorado Environmental Leadership Program, a member of the Rocky Mountain Greener Venues Partnership and ISO 14001 Certified? The venue's natural setting provides for a uniquely green atmosphere, and when combined with changes in the venue's energy efficiency, water conservation, the use of green cleaning and paper products, implementation of recycling and composting programs, Red Rocks Amphitheatre is one of the region's most environmentally friendly cultural facilities. Since 2007, the venues waste stream has been reduced by 85 percent.
Join CORE and GMIC Colorado on July 11th to learn about why Red Rocks took on this initiative, how they educate consumers with the slogan: "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rock On!", how their sustainability initiatives set them apart from other outdoor concert venues and take a behind the scenes green tour of Red Rocks.
