This 60 minute webinar and accompanying tweetchat at #gmic will provide an in-depth look at the sustainability practices of the Waste Management Phoenix Open. This event accomplished it's ambitious sustainability goals, including a 90% waste diversion and recovery of more than 70% of the materials used at the event. This was accomplished by using industry leading equipment, working closely and effectively with vendors and implementing an extensive education campaign for event participants and spectators. We'll discuss new technologies and best practices for waste, water and energy management at events including solar powered compactors, reverse vending machines, onsite waste water recycling and portable solar power units.
