to raise awareness of water impact issues in the global meetings industry.
GMIC Chapter and Membership Challenge
week, starting March 12, 2012, GMIC will share facts on water impact usage in
the global meetings and events industry. Each fact is linked with a list of simple
acts that you can do to change something in your daily life that will help
reduce your consumption of water will work towards and/or donate to ONE DROP.
From March through April 22nd, Earth Day
and the opening night of the GMIC Sustainable Meetings Conference in Montreal,
we will be tallying donations and pledges received on behalf of every GMIC Chapter
towards this water awareness campaign. The chapter that donates the most funds
and who has made the most commitments to change will be announced and receive
prizes and special recognition at the opening reception of the 2012 Sustainable
Ways to Make a Difference
GMIC’s social responsibility initiative and you can make a difference. By donating just $1 you are making a
commitment to GMIC’s 2012 conferenceand helping to create access to clean water
for people all over the world.
How to Participate:
